The island of Maui is named after the famous demigod who in Hawaiian culture created all of the Hawaiian Islands by catching his fishing hook on the ocean floor and pulling it up. Home to over 120 miles of beautiful and accessible beaches, from the golden sands in Kapalua, to the black sand near Hana, some of the most beautiful beaches in the world are found here. All though it is the second largest island in Hawaii, Maui is known for its chill laid back vibes and easy going people. If you ever travel the road to Hana make sure you stop at the little stands selling in my opinion the best banana bread in the world.
